Built from real operations

Our team has run mobility operations, written production code, navigated procurement cycles, and deployed platforms for cities and enterprises. We know what breaks in production. We know what procurement officers ask for. We know the difference between features that sound good in demos and infrastructure that survives five years of real deployments.
This isn’t theoretical knowledge. We operate our own car-sharing fleet in Cagliari, Sardinia. The platform we sell is the platform we run. Every constraint in the system is one we’ve hit ourselves.

Our history

2016

Where it started

In 2016, Playcar was operating car-sharing in Cagliari when our software vendor went under. We faced a choice: cobble together multiple systems that didn’t talk to each other, or force our business into software built for someone else’s operational model. We chose neither.

2017

The build

Three developers. One year. One requirement: build a platform that works the way operators actually work—not the way software vendors think they should work. Playmoove 1.0 went live in May 2017, the same month our old vendor turned out the lights. We’ve been running Playcar on the platform we built ever since.

2019 – Present

The difference

By 2019, we’d refined the platform through continuous real-world operations. That’s when we released the first white-label version for our first customer. Every feature built from actual operational needs—not investor metrics, not feature checklists, not what competitors were doing. We run our own mobility business, refine the platform through daily operations, and deploy that operational intelligence for your deployment.
